National Instruments PXIe-AWG5100 Arbitrary Waveform Generator Bundle
The National Instruments PXIe-AWG5100 (Part Number: 867119-03) Bundle is a comprehensive PXI Express solution for automatic test systems requiring a high-fidelity signal generation. This package contains a PXIe-1083 chassis and a PXIe-5413 arbitrary waveform generator in one easy-to-use package. The base unit is the PXIe-5413 AWG, which is a 16-bit unit capable of generating standard waveforms and complex user-defined arbitrary signals with a bandwidth up to 20 MHz and a sample rate of 800 MS/s. The output is a single channel of precision voltages from a small signal to 12 Vpk-pk into a 50 Ohm signal load. This allows for applications requiring accurate volts offsets and accurate summation of waveforms.
The PXIe-AWG5100 waveform generator bundle is designed for use in research, correlation, and production testing. Common applications include functional test stands, semiconductor characterizations, and RF component stimulus boards. The ability to create arbitrary complex waveforms makes this especially useful in simulating real-world output signals from sensors or communication systems in a controlled laboratory. The included PXIe-1083 five-slot chassis presents a heavy duty expandable modular system with a robust cooling system and a high-performance backplane which allow for accurate data throughput and synchronization of the output to meet expanding system needs. The chassis is supplied with Thunderbolt connectivity for high-speed data transfer to host controllers.
The PXIe-AWG5100 system is backed by excellent National Instruments software, such as LabVIEW and Instrument Studio, both of which assist in the hand-on control of the instruments used and in the automation of test and measurement sequencers and data management software, etc. This excellent integration of both the hardware and software yields enhanced development times for even complex automatic test sequences. By combining a versatile waveform generator with a modular PXI chassis, the engineers are afforded a flexible basis for the construction of small, compact, high-speed test and measuring devices, which will facilitate repeatable measurements within a wide variety of industries and scientific endeavors.
